Five held in robbery case

Rourkela: The Chhend police men arrested five persons involved in a robbery case at Gopabandhunagar, Chhend, here yesterday night.

According to J K Mallick, IIC, Chhend Police Station, on December 4, 2012 in between 8.30 pm to 12.30 am (night) some unknown criminals had their entry into the house No. S2H/60 of Ananda Chandra Samal of Gopabandhunagar, Chhend by breaking the lock of the grill gate and main door and committed theft of gold and silver ornaments, camera, laptop, mobile phones and cash of Rs. 1,04,500.

In this connection basing on the written report of complaint A C Samal, a case was registered in Chhend PS under section 457/380 IPC and investigated into. 

During investigation the three accused persons have been arrested from VSS Market, Chhend. They are Rajesh Singh (22) alias Gidu, Jugal Nag Vansi (18) alias Poli and Rabi Sona (19) alias Bhakilal.

Mallick said the other two Rajesh Sahu (32) of Daily Market and Md. Tabraj (26) of Bisra are the accused who have received the theft property from the these three culprits. These accused persons are also earlier involved in many other cases and had three cases under Chhend PS and one case under Raghunathpali PS.

After their arrest, three Laptop, cash of Rs. 60,500, gold worth 30 gms, digital camera, silver coin, wrist watch and 11 mobile phones were recovered from the accused, added Mallick.
