RSP launches GPAIS for its employees


Rourkela: A Model Employer, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), took yet another significant step forward in its continuous quest to enhance welfare measures with the launching of the Group Voluntary Personal Accident Insurance Scheme (GPAIS) by the CEO, G S Prasad here yesterday.

GPAIS aims at providing relief in case of death/ permanent total disablement/ permanent partial disablement/ temporary total disablement due to accident involving the employees and/or their family members. An employee can enroll his/her eligible family members along with himself/herself under the GPAIS that is being operated by Oriental Insurance Company (OIC) Ltd.

A total of 12,804 employees of RSP have become members of the new scheme and apart from them it will also cover 22,502 family members of the employees.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEO commended the scheme and expressed his satisfaction over the encouraging response from the RSP collective to the initiative. He urged all the employees to get unrolled under this new initiative.

On the occasion, a presentation on GPAIS was made by S Gayen, Deputy Corporate Manager, Corporate Business Unit of Oriental Insurance Company Ltd, kolkata.

Among others, D Basu, ED (P&A), S N Roy, ED (Works), S K Acharya, ED (Projects), Dr. S K Mishra, Director (Medical & Health Services), and other senior officers of RSP and Oriental Insurance Company Ltd were present on the occasion.
